How long will I wait to get a hearing date?

An administrative law judge has at least 21 days to give you notice before they will set a hearing date for Social Security disability. However, when you file a request for a hearing you could be waiting anywhere from 12 to 24 months to get that hearing date. You will get an advance notice of at least 21 days from an administrative law judge, and it can be up to 90 days depending on which judge, in what area of the country for what you are doing your hearing at.
